The Buckinghamshire aims to provide a relaxing, sociable and memorable experience in which golf can be played and enjoyed. Members and guests are required to adhere to the club’s dress code which requires a high standard of smart conventional golf and casual clothes. Jeans and jean jackets, tracksuits and trainers are not considered suitable attire for the golf course or the clubhouse.
On the Course
We ask that all golfers wear a high standard of smart ‘Golf Clothes’ – clothing that is widely accepted across most recognised golf clubs and that is generally available in professional shops. For example, collared shirts with tailored trousers or shorts for gentlemen and collared shirts or sleeveless shirts with tailored trousers, shorts or skirts for ladies.
Golfers are encouraged to change from their golfing attire, but this is not a necessity. ‘Formal Attire’ and ‘Smart Casual Clothing’ are equally acceptable at most times. The majority are aware of what is generally considered to be ‘Smart Casual Clothing’ and we ask that our guests follow and respect our members by complying with this. Golf shoes of any description are only acceptable in the Spike Bar and baseball caps or hats must be removed in the clubhouse.
Please note that mobile phones may not be used on the course or in the clubhouse. Please ensure that your phone is on silent.
Please respect The Buckinghamshire as you would your own golf course. Please rake bunkers after use, repair all pitchmarks and replace divots on the fairways and in the rough. Please refrain from using buggies and trolleys of any description in the rough, around the greens and on the approaches.
Pace of Play
Allowing for a 15-minute refresher at our Halfway House a 4-ball should take no longer than 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete 18 holes. Please keep up with the group in front, be aware of your time and please allow faster groups to play through.
We look forward to welcoming you to Buckinghamshire Golf Club and hope you have a memorable experience
